Charges of molestation of minors involving American singer Ryan Adams
The FBI is investigating charges of harassment of American singer and songwriter Ryan Adams on allegations of sending sexually explicit messages to minor fans.
This comes after a report in the New York Times, accusing the star of sexual misconduct and abuse of a number of women.
One of the women, who accused the singer, who identified herself as "Ava," delivered more than 3,000 text messages to reporters she said she exchanged with Adams when she was 15 and 16 years old.
Andrew Adams's lawyer, Andrew P. Brittler, rejected the allegations and told the New York Times: "Ryan Adams categorically denies that he continued on the Internet and had inappropriate sexual conversations with anyone who knew he was underage."
Later, an FBI source, whose name was not mentioned, said he was looking into the allegations and would try to interview the woman, who is now 20, before deciding how to proceed..
